MOE 2.2

Ruben Cantu is an Albuquerque-based artist from Panama. I was first introduced to his work in 2014 when he was creating iconic character illustrations using felt material. Since then, his subject matter has evolved beyond pop-culture as he explores social constructs, self-reflection, and the current art climate through his critical perspective. Cantu’s unique style is further solidified in his ability to reinterpret his aesthetic in multiple mediums beyond fiber art.
